Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of the Comfort Bartlett Insulation Company website and any estimate, scheduling or work you arrange with us. By using the site, asking for an estimate or booking a job, you agree to them, so please read them before you do.
If you and we sign a written agreement for a job, that agreement controls wherever it differs from this page. You can find out more about who we are on our About page or go back to the home page at any time.
What we do
We're an insulation contractor in Bartlett, TN. We work on attics, walls, crawl spaces, basements and commercial buildings, including blown-in insulation, spray foam, air sealing, vapor barriers and removing old insulation.
The service pages and city pages on this site describe our work in general terms. They're there to help you understand the job, not to promise a result for your house, because every attic and crawl space is different until we've seen it.
Estimates and pricing
Estimates are free, done in person, and come with no obligation to hire us. We base each estimate on what we can see and measure at your house, such as how much insulation is already up there, what condition it's in, how easy the space is to reach and which material you choose.
An estimate is our best figure for the work it describes, and it can change if the job turns out different once it's open. If we find something we couldn't see before, like wet or contaminated insulation, damaged framing, pests or wiring that isn't safe to cover, we'll stop, show you and agree on any change in price with you before we go on.
Prices on an estimate hold for the period written on it. After that, we may need to update it before we schedule the work.
Scheduling, access and cancellation
We'll agree on a start date with you and do our best to keep it. Weather, material delays and earlier jobs running long can push a date back, and when that happens we'll call you as early as we can to set a new one.
You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area on the scheduled day, which usually means clearing a path to the attic hatch or crawl space entrance and keeping kids and pets away from it. For some work, especially spray foam, you'll need to stay out of the house or the work area for a period afterward, and you agree to follow the re-entry time our crew gives you, meaning when it's safe to come back in.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us at (901) 295-2959 as soon as you know. If we've already ordered material for your job or turned away other work to hold the day, your written agreement will say what, if anything, you owe.
Payment
Payment is due as stated on your estimate, agreement or invoice. If a deposit is required, it'll be written on your agreement before any work starts.
If a balance goes unpaid past its due date, we may pause further work and take the steps Tennessee law allows to collect it. We'd much rather talk it through first, so call us if a payment is going to be late.
Warranties and what we don't promise
We're licensed and insured, and we stand behind our work. If something about the job isn't right, tell us and we'll come back and look at it. Any written warranty on your job, and any warranty from a product's maker, will be spelled out in your paperwork, and those written terms are the ones that apply.
Apart from those written terms, and as far as the law allows, we don't promise a specific drop in your power bill, a set temperature in any room or a particular result, because those depend on things outside our work, like your heating and cooling system, windows, roof and how the house is used.
The information on this website is general and offered as is. We try to keep it accurate, but it isn't a substitute for an in-person look at your house.
Limits on our liability
As far as the law allows, Comfort Bartlett Insulation Company isn't responsible for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost use of a room, higher utility costs or problems caused by conditions in your house that existed before we arrived. Our total responsibility for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
Nothing on this page limits any right you have that the law doesn't allow a business to take away.
If we disagree
If you're unhappy with anything, call us first, because most problems get fixed fastest by our crew coming back out. If we can't settle it between us, we both agree to try mediation, where a neutral person helps us reach an answer, before going to court.
If it still isn't settled, it'll be handled in the state or federal courts serving Bartlett, Tennessee, unless the law where your house sits says otherwise.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee. We also work in Mississippi and Arkansas, and where a rule of the state your house is in has to apply to your job, that rule applies.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page is the current one. Changes don't affect a job you've already signed for, which stays under the terms you agreed to then.
